Our Story
Salt air, warm cups, and the rhythm of the harbor — welcome to Harbor Coffee.
Born by the water, built on community
Harbor Coffee opened its doors in 2016 in a restored boathouse on Fremantle's working waterfront. What began as a small passion project between two local roasters has grown into a beloved neighborhood gathering place — where fishermen, artists, and early-morning walkers all find their way to the same counter.
Every cup we serve is a reflection of this place: grounded, unhurried, and deeply connected to the sea. We source our beans from small-lot growers who share our commitment to quality and sustainability, and we roast them just minutes from the cafe in our micro-roastery.
What We Stand For
Quality Without Compromise
We cup every batch. If it isn't excellent, it doesn't leave our roastery. Simple as that.
Rooted in Fremantle
We partner with local bakers, potters, and farmers — because community is everything.
Gentle on the Planet
Compostable cups, direct-trade sourcing, and a zero-waste kitchen. We're always learning.
The hands behind the brew
Our small team is the soul of Harbor Coffee. Led by co-founders Mia and Leo — a former marine biologist and a classically trained barista — we're a crew of coffee nerds, ocean lovers, and morning people who genuinely love what we do.
From our head roaster Sam, who treats every bean with scientific precision, to our front-of-house stars who remember your order after just one visit — every person here contributes to the warmth you feel when you walk through the door.
